FAQ

Where are you located?
I am located in Woodlands, TX but will meet you any place convenient, most often a coffee-house in the middle of our locations.

How big is your company?
Everything is run by my wife and I-- you'll deal strictly with me from when we first sit-down to when I deliver your album.

What kind of equipment do you use?
A majority of the time I employ digital Canon professional bodies, and their state-of-the-art L-series lenses. There are times I will bring film to the table, since, let's be honest, film still goes places digital can't (and vice versa).

How long have you been doing photography?
I've been involved with media, design, and photography since high school. It wasn't until about 5 years ago that I transitioned to solely focus on weddings. Before that it was portraits, documenting events, and pure unadultered fun with light.

What's your degree in?
Theology and Philosophy-- yep, nothing to do with photography. But I do find that my same interests in those fields draw me closer to what I seek to exhibit in my photography.

When you're not working what do you like to do?
Stay up late watching back-to-back episodes with my wife and sleeping beagle.

What style would you consider yourself?
A mix of photojournalism and fine art. If anything, my goal is to stir the soul-- using whatever "style" that may require.

How many photos should I expect from a wedding and how long until I see them?
Depending on coverage time and the events of the day I will deliver between 1100-1600. About 10% of those images will be hand-processed to perfection and featured in a slideshow. The rest of the images will receive a basic exposure and color balance adjustment. Give or take 4-6 weeks for everything to be online and ready for viewing/purchasing. Trust me, the wait is worth it.

Have any heroes?
Pope John Paul II-- that man changed the world.

Do you do custom packages?
Yes, you are not limited to any one package, but I always suggest sticking close to them to take advantage of their discounted value. Destination events will always be personally catered to.

How soon before the day should we book?
I am on a first-come first-serve basis, so even if you tell me you plan on booking, nothing is set until I have the deposit and contract in hand. 1-2 years in advance is highly recommended, or my rule of thumb: as soon as you're ready.

We want to book you, how do we do it?
Drop me a line! Being that I do such a small number of weddings per month I require a 50% deposit to save the date. After that, we workout a payment plan until the day of the wedding.
